Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo has thrown his weight behind the appointment of Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme to lead the Nigeria Football Federation’s normalisation process, describing his experience in Nigerian football as a valuable asset at a crucial moment for the game.
Ekpo believes Ikpeme’s knowledge of the country’s football administration will be important as the interim leadership works to restore stability and establish the structures needed for a new beginning.

The former Super Eagles midfielder, however, urged Nigerians and other football stakeholders to exercise patience, stressing that the new leadership is still at an early stage of its assignment.

He maintained that Ikpeme’s experience could help the committee navigate the challenges ahead and create a solid foundation for the next phase of Nigerian football administration.
