The management of Ekiti United FC and Ekiti Queens has affirmed that brand new vehicles for both the male and female state football teams are in the works, courtesy of the State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji.

In a statement issued by Ayodeji Olowolafe, the secretary of Ekiti United FC, the management expressed dissatisfaction with the focus of some online media practitioners who solely concentrated on the state of the team vehicles.

Olowolafe emphasized the need for a more professional spotlight on the overall activities and welfare of the players.

The management assured the public that the present State government, under the leadership of Governor Oyebanji, is actively working on rebranding and repositioning the State Football teams.

Acquiring new vehicles for both Ekiti United FC and Ekiti Queens is part of the comprehensive efforts to enhance the image of the teams.

Olowolafe urged the public to dismiss the unprofessional conduct displayed by some online publishers who rush to the press without due consultation.

Regarding the players’ welfare, Ekiti United Management highlighted that the players are well taken care of, with the team being one of the highest-paying clubs in the Nigerian National League (NNL).

The management proudly disclosed a 70% increase in players’ monthly salaries and other welfare packages, ensuring the athletes are well-supported both on and off the field.

The media and the public were encouraged to play a more supportive role by attracting partnerships and support for the State teams.
