Ekiti All Stars International Oldies, Youngsters Celebrate End Of Year In Grand Style

Monday December 26 was a memorable day filled with prayers,reflections,motivation, funfair, merriment and exchange of gifts among management and players of Ekiti Allstars International as they celebrated End of Year 2022 in a grand style.

The day started with a convergence at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium for prayers as all members wore their uniform track suit with prayers from both christians and muslims.

The prayers were preceded by heart touching songs of praise led by by the OC Sports of he Nigeria Police Force, Mr Idowu who sang in different languages including Ekiti dialect.

Shortly afterwards, the president of the All stars, Dr Sola Afolayan described the group as a unique one comprising members of varying characters and nature.

He gave thanks to God for His divine guidance at leading the group despite it’s multi faceted tendencies.

Dr Afolayan urged members to take issues relating to their health very seriously with references to members who had sustained life threatening injuries and those that have passed on.

The chairman Board Of Trustees of the Allstars, chief Oluwole Oloworeemo said there were plenty reasons for members to thank God who has been merciful unto them on and off the pitch .

He urged the members to eschew bitterness and bickerings urging them to remain united and work towards common goal of ensuring a better Allstars that would be the envy of others across the country.

Events for the day also included sharing of gifts to players of the Allstars Football Academy by the president and PRO as the kids delightfully went home with different snacks and drinks while two sets of training bibs was also presented to the kids by the Allstars Young blood.

A soccer ball was also presented to the Allstars by the MALU (Cow) committee as it’s token to show unalloyed love for the group.

Members thereafter moved to After 7 Hotel for merriment as the young members of the Allstars came up with a surprise package by presenting awards of recognition to 4 eminent members in recognition and appreciation of their immeasurable and ceaseless contributions to the upkeep of the group.

The award recipients included the president, Dr Sola Afolayan (Great Achievement Award) , chairman Boss of Trustee, chief Oluwole Oloworeemo (Opomulero Award ) coach Alabi and Sir Goy (Great Mentor Award )

Coach Alabi also known as coach Ghana could not stop tears of joy from flowing as he never expected such recognition while other recipients could not also hide their joy.

They all vowed to keep up the good works that earned them the awards while promising to also surprise the young blood in positive ways in the coming year.

Apart from wining and dining, members also went home with gifts as they took turn for photo sessions amidst joy and excitement having been guided thus far in year 2022.

The executive of the Allstars also reiterated their commitmemt towards making good it’s promise to the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Ekiti state chapter which they donated set of chairs for a couple of years ago.

Chief Oloworeemo and Dr Afolayan urged the SWAN Chairman, Qozeem Oladapo who joined other friends of the Allstars during the funfair to let them know areas where support could be offered in a bid to entrench synergy between both groups.

The Vice Chairman of The Referees Council in Ekiti State , Mr Shina Oguntuase was on hand to identify a d rejoice with the Allstars on the occasion.

Executive of Ekiti United FC Supporters Club led by its chairman, Sunday Afolabi spiced up the gathering with electrifying Ekiti songs as they also painted the table with GREEN bottles.

The Allstars said the official presentation of an equipment to the Ekiti State Sports Council will be done at a later date.
