Efe Ajagba Places 9th, Moses Itauma 8th, Daniel Dubois 4th, Joshua Missing, In Boxing’s Latest Top-10 Ranking

Three heavyweight boxers with Nigerian ancestry – Efe Ajagba, Daniel Dubois and Moses Itauma – have been ranked among the top 10 in latest rankings by popular magazine, The Ring, but Anthony Olaseni Oluwafemi Joshua drops out.

Sports247 gathered that, while Joshua falls outside the top 10 bracket and Lawrence Okolie also fails to get a mention, Dubois lies high in fourth spot, Itauma is 8th and Ajagba 9th on the new cards.

The 28-year-old Dubois achieves fourth spot on the log, despite his knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk in their July rematch, which saw him lose the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt.

On the other, Itauma, who is highly rated as a 20-year-old British prodigy, breaks into the top ten at eighth spot, ahead of his January 24 fight in Manchester against USA’s 32-year-old challenger, Jermaine Franklin.

A report by British tabloid, The Sun adds: “Efe Ajagba, 31, and Richard Torrez, 26, make up the new-look top ten.

“Joshua, 36, did return to the ring in December, knocking out YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 28, in six rounds of their Miami mismatch on Netflix.

“But it was not enough to place him back in the Ring rankings; (while Tyson) Fury, 37, is set to make yet another comeback in 2026.
“(Their respective) promoters, Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren hope the pair will finally settle their Battle of Britain next year.”
