Edo Queens vs Adamawa Queens match : Why The Public Should Disregard Allegation Of Abandoned

In response to the allegation made by Adamawa Queens manager concerning the the injured player on the pitch during the week 4 game between Edo Queens and Adamawa Queens this evening, I would like to say that all the things reported by the Adamawa Queens manager were not correct and not a reflection of the true position of things.

In a game of football, injuries are bound to occur.
The said girl got injured in the right side of her face after head collision with Edo Queens player and was immediately substituted following the first aid treatment by the combined medical team of Adamawa Queens and Edo Queens.

The medical teams were still attending to her after the game which drew the attention of the
Edo State government medical team again after the end of the game when the injured girl still complained about serious pains. Instead of seeking further help one of the Adamawa Queens managers was only ranting, blaming the injury on referees that the ref did not protect the player. In the process, some officials of Bendel Insurance FC and Edo Queens on ground quickly informed the General Coordinator of Edo Queens Mrs Sabina Chikere about the ugly situation and she immediately came down from her car and directed the state Ambulance on ground and the medical personnel to immediately rush her to the specialist hospital for proper care, assuring the hesitant Adamawa Queens manager that Edo will take care of the bills.

As a matter of fact, the injured Adamawa Queen’s case we leant was difficult for the medical teams at the Stadium because she was yet to eat breakfast at the time and that made it difficult for the doctors to administer any pain relief injection on her. The medics requested her team officials to get light food for her to enable them do the needful but they were not forthcoming, but were blaming Edo Queens and referees instead. The same manger said that they gave their players N5000 each to feed when asked why they did not feed their players for over 12 hours before the match.

The said player eventually was taken to the State Government Hospital for proper care. She was carried to the Hospital with Edo State special Ambulance and with a team of medical experts.
The Permanent Secretary Edo State Sports commission was there to ensure that proper medical attention is given to the girl and as well sent some officials of the Commission to monitor the situation.

This is not the first time Adamawa Queens are displaying this kind of unsportsmanship behaviour in Edo. They like to shift their responsibility to their host.

Edo State is known for her hospitality. So, it is unfair and wicked for any official of Adamawa Queens to write that Edo State abandoned the injured player when their managers could not even take up the responsibility to help their own player but looking for who to blame.

Whoever has written such image and name smearing report is not being fair to Edo State.

Edo State is a home were other teams come win matches and go unhurt. Edo State has the best medical facilities at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and the wellbeing of others is our major concern.
Please followers of our football should disregard the misleading report.
