Edo Queens eye away victory in Bayelsa

Edo Queens FC of Benin-City will this afternoon take on Bayelsa Queens FC of Yenagoa in week 6 of the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League NWFL premiership at Yengoa Sports Complex.

It’s 6 games into the NWEL season, Edo Queens is targeting away victory to consolidate their unbeaten run and also move a step up on the league table.

Today’s game is peculiar, peculiar in the Sense that Coach Rollanson Odeh will be playing against his own boy Moses Adikun, the man that was under him when he Rollanson was the head coach of Bayelsa Queens technical crew some years ago.

The first time both teams met since Moses Adikun took over as Manager of the Yenagoa girls was last year in Abuja during the Flying officers pre-season tournament.

Edo Queens and Bayelsa Queens played at the semi final, Bayelsa Queens smiled away with victory from a defensive error committed by an Edo Queens defender which resulted to an own goal.

However, highly rated experienced Edo Queens Technical Manager Rollanson Odeh, has said that his girls are ready for the game.
“Work is in progress, we better, fitter and stronger despite injuries. You are also aware that two of key players are on national assignment in Turkey.

Nevertheless, we are here to do our very best and I’m happy with the scintillating display of Edo Queens in the league so far. This is just the sixth game of the season, there are many more games ahead, as a team, We don’t stop when we are tired, we stop when we are done with Success. I just wish my players the best of luck in today’s encounter.”
