Edo Queens of Benin City coach, Moses Aduku says he will have to unleash a ‘winning mentality’ on Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt when both sides clash on matchday two of this year’s Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super-6 in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Sports247 reports that, ahead of Monday’s fixture at Remo Stars Stadium, both sides got the same result from their first outings in the ongoing women’s league play-offs, as Rivers Angels lost 1-0 to Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa and Edo Queens fell by the same scoreline to the hosts, Remo Ladies.

Moses admitted it was not a good start for the defending champions, especially as they failed to convert many scoring chances, but vowed that they will get a revival in their next game, which comes up this Monday at the same venue.
“We lost the game, but we are not out,” the former youth international fired back. “We’ll go back and prepare for the next game.
“I watched our next opponent, which is Rivers, and I know what to do against them. We’ll approach that game with a winning menality because we must come back into contention.”
Aduku concluded with a look at what went wrong during Saturday’s clash with Remo Ladies and recounted: “We tried to take out chances, but we could not. We did not bury our chances whenever we got them. They got just one chance, and they took it. That was all.”
The other games at the 2025 NWFL Super-6 on Monday are Remo Ladies versus Naija Ratels of FCT and Bayelsa Queens against Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia.
