Edo Boys High School To Host Students Rugby Competition, As Ntiense Williams Takes Charge

A youth development and talent promotions outfit in Benin City, Eyoto Sports Academy has set aside December 10th to stage a students’ rugby competition at Edo Boys High School, Sports247 gathered.

The project has already been set in motiin by Edo State rugby head coach, Ntiense Williams, who disclosed that all members of his technical team will be on the ground to facilitate the competition.

Williams (aka Mr Rugby) further revealed that it will be an invitational competition of various schools presenting four female and four male teams.

He added that the teams were selected from a list of 15 approved schools under the banner of Edo State Ministry of Education to participate in what he described as a specific programe to further enhance the development of rugby.

The competing teams are from Army Day Group of School, Imaguero Grammar School, Oredo College, Ogbe Secondary School, Technical Group of Schools, Iyoba Girls College and Western Boys Grammar School.

Others are Uselu Senior Secondary School, New Era Girls College, Iyogbe Secondary School, Idia College, Emotan College, Uralo Secondary School Iraokhor, Ogbona Secondary School and the hosts, Edo Boys High School, Adolor.

‎”Eyoto Sports Academy remain keen to work closely with the Rugby Association and by extension Edo State Sports Commission for the promotion of social, physical and welfare condition of students in Edo State.

‎”They have already done the following projects this year – ‎rugby introduction, athletics competition for under-15 and open categories, as well as award of scholarships to 10 outstanding young talents.

“Eyoto Sports Academy operates from an office ‎at the popular Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in ‎Benin City, Edo State,” Williams disclosed.
