Edo 2020: Team Delta Coach Express Disappointment Over Attack By His Counterpart

Delta state assistant kickboxing coach Stephen Momah has expressed disappointment over the physical assault meted on him by his counterpart, John Osawoyi, Head Coach Edo state kickboxing after the Delta state kickboxer was pronounced winner on a technical ground against the Edo state fighter.

The victim said he was excused by the Edo state head coach outside and before he could say a word he got a straight punch in his left eye.

“I only celebrate our victory. Next, he called outside because I took him as a colleague,I went with him. He start saying you! You!! Before I could say a word, I felt a professional punch on my left eyes”.

“I could not believe how I felt with blood gushing out of my face”.

“I was rushed by the medical team and I was told everything will be all right but I will not be able to participate in my professional career for the entire event”.

He commended the National Sports Festival Main Organising Committee(MOC) for their swift response to suspend coach John Osawoyi for 5years in all kickboxing activities.
