Edema Fuludu Sent Packing As Acting FA Chairman

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Edema Fuludu has been removed from his position as acting chairman of Delta State Football Association, in the wake of fresh rounds of crisis rocking the body in Asaba.

Sports247.ng gathered that the latest development came after Fuludu was accused of acts capable of bringing the game into disrepute and for breeding disunity among the executive committee members.

The ex-international, who was initially vice-chairman behind former Eagles captain, Austin Okocha in the Delta State FA, had also been accused of financial impropriety and mismanagement of funds.

He was subsequently suspended on Wednesday, following a resolution signed by the FA secretary, Ogosi Azuka, who also directed that the ex-player should stay away from all football related matters for five years.

While also threatening to hand the player-turned-administrator over to Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Delta FA Congress fixed June 5 for fresh elections into the executive committee.
