Eaglets’ Assistant Coach Olumide Ajibolade Promises ‘Best Possible Legs’ In Nigeria’s Next Cadet Team

The new assistant coach of Nigeria’s under-17 national team, Golden Eaglets, Olumide Ajibolade has promised that the technical crew will select the ‘best possible legs’ for the country’s next cadet squad, Sports247 reports.

While noting that the Eaglets have failed to qualify for major competitions in the past four years and are currently absent from the ongoing African U17 Cup of Nations, Ajibolade promised that the crew will do their best to turn things around.

The youthful tactician, who is fondly called ‘Coach Olumide’ and has made top marks in recent years with Beyond Limit Football Academy of Ikenne, also pledged to work cordially with Eaglets’ new handler, Eboboritse Uwejamomere.

He reckoned that close affinity among all coaches in the cadet national team will bring about a situation whereby they can discover talents who will not only revive the Eaglets’ years of glory, but also provide future stars of the Super Eagles.

Ajibolade further described his appointment as a call to serve the nation, as well as a sensitive responsibility that demands total commitment and sacrifice, then firmly averred: “Whenever you are called to serve, it’s not optional.

“Whatever you have to give, you have to give absolutely everything. We’ve spoken about it and he’s desirous of building a team of coaches that will be able to assemble the best team possible for Nigeria.

“I can assure you that we will assemble the best possible legs and give them the best possible platform to express themselves. Projection into the future is the key. We will unearth players who can progress into the under-20 and Super Eagles.”
