Eagles abroad: Oboabona set to dump Croatian side

Nigerian defender, Godfrey Oboabona has revealed that he may leave Croatian side, HNK Gorica next season.

The former Sunshine Stars skipper spent four seasons at Turkish side Rizespor before a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia side Al-Ahli in 2017.

The AFCON winning defender who joined Gorica from Al-Ahli in September has however expressed doubts about his future.

“I don’t think I will remain at Gorica at the end of the season, we’ll see what happens. I’m still a Gorica player for now.

“My best moment as a Gorica player came in our home victory against Rijeka. I was voted man of the match in that game and I was really happy with my performance and that of the team as well.”

Gorica are currently fifth on the league table with 53 points and Oboabona has made 13 starts in his 14 appearances for the club.
