Eagles Abroad: Muhammed named in Croatia League Team-Of-The-Week

Former Golden Eaglets captain Musa Muhammed has been named in the Team-of-the-Week in Croatia, following HNK Gorica’s 1-0 win over NK Osijek on Match Day 35.

The result which keeps HNK Gorica fifth on the table also secured a clean sweep for four of their players in the weekly award.

Igrac Kola, Marino Marina and Joey Suk who scored the lone goal in the win over NK Osijek were the three other players to join Muhammed in the team of the week. Manager Sergej Jakirovic also won coach of the week.

“This is one of our best moments in the Croatian league this season,” Muhammed said.

“We had a very good game against NK Osijek and I think the choice of four of us and the coach in the Team-of-the week for round 35 is really good.

“I’m personally very happy and I will continue to give my best.”

The 22-year-old also credited his good form to the atmosphere at the Croatian side.

“I’m just happy to be here now with HNK Gorica. People here really like me and I love to work with this kind of people; I hope we can achieve something great together. Honestly, I’m just happy to be here.”

HNK Gorica will visit sixth-placed NK Lokomotiva in their last game of the campaign on Sunday.
