Rafiu Durosinmi was on the scoresheet for Pisa with an important assist, but his contribution proved insufficient as Sassuolo secured a convincing 3–1 away victory at the Stadio Romeo Anconetani on Matchday 23.

The visitors set the tone early, taking the lead in the 25th minute through captain Domenico Berardi, who finished clinically after a well-timed assist from Kristian Thorstvedt.
Sassuolo doubled their advantage just before the break in unfortunate circumstances for the hosts, as defender Antonio Caracciolo turned the ball into his own net in first-half stoppage time.
Pisa showed renewed intent after the restart and were rewarded in the 51st minute. Midfielder Michel Aebischer pulled one back with a composed finish following a smart assist from Durosinmi, whose awareness and delivery briefly reignited hope for the home supporters.
However, any momentum Pisa generated was quickly halted. Seven minutes later, Sassuolo restored their two-goal cushion when Ismaël Koné struck decisively, finishing off a move initiated by Nemanja Matić. The goal underlined Sassuolo’s control and composure in key moments of the contest.
