Sports247 reports that the product of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan recalled that he had happy days during his previous tenure with The Akure Arsenal and is now hoping for a better stay.
Udi disclosed that he initially started this season with First Bank FC of Lagos, but admitted he could not resist the urge of rejoining Sunshine Stars when they came for him.
“I got a job with First Bank football club, and I already had two matches with them. One of the matches was at Onikan Stadium against Ekiti United.
“We won 2-0, and then Sunshine Stars came calling. So, I decided to pitch my tent with Sunshine Stars … not forgetting that, eight years ago, I was their head coach.
“So, being back here is like a dream come true and I’m happy for it. So, we’ll see how it goes,” said Udi, who will be assisted by another ex-player, Tony Alegbe.
Sports247 gathered that Udi will aim for a winning start to his second tenure when Sunshine play away to Crown FC of Ogbomosho at the restart of the Nigerian National League (NNL) of February 14th.
