Nigerian-American basketball standout Lauren Ebo has signed a two-year contract with Spanish giants Club Joventut Badalona, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
The deal will keep the 6’4” center at the Liga Femenina Endesa side through June 2026.

She represented Nigeria’s D’Tigress at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Lauren Ebo is set to make her debut in Spain after an impressive stint in Poland with KS Basket, where she averaged 15.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and a 19 efficiency rating per game during the 2023/24 season.
Born on June 7, 2000, in Fairfax, Virginia, Ebo began her basketball journey at Paul VI Catholic High School before transferring to Riverdale Baptist School, where she led her team to the Independent School National Championship.
Lauren Ebo launched her NCAA career with Penn State (2018–2020), averaging over five points and rebounds per game, before transferring to the University of Texas (2020–2022).
During her time with the Longhorns, she became a key player, earning All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and leading the team in double-doubles.
For her graduate season, she joined Notre Dame (2022–2023), averaging 9.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field.
She was recognized on the Lisa Leslie Award Watch List and the All-ACC Academic Team.
Lauren Ebo made her debut for Nigeria’s senior women’s team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she contributed defensively and added valuable rebounding depth to the squad.
The addition of Ebo is seen as a major boost for Joventut Badalona as they aim to strengthen their frontcourt for the upcoming season. Known for her physicality, rebounding, and scoring ability in the paint, Ebo is expected to be a dominant force in the Spanish top flight.
With this signing, Joventut Badalona secures a proven interior presence with NCAA and international experience.
