Draws For IFA Super-8 Competition Holds March 10

DRAWS for Ibadan Football Association’s SUPER-8 Competition comes up on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 4 pm.

Representatives of Clubs that registered for the competition are expected on the occasion to ensure maximum transparency.

In addition to this, Representatives of Ibadan Referees’Society, Nigeria Football Coaches Association, and other stakeholders in the football family are expected to attend the Draws which hold inside Olubadan Stadium Hostel Hall.

The SUPER-8 Football championship will determine the four clubs that would join the standing 16 clubs slated to feature in the IFA LEAGUE 2021.

16 teams out of 20 have already qualified to play in the 2021 League by virtue of their positions on the final table of the 2019 League.

Ibadan soccer lords, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Saki Utd FC, and VIA ACADEMY emerged as the best three teams of the 2019 IFA League.

The lockdown on sports generally which followed the global pandemic however prevented the 2020 League from taking place last year.

IFA League remains the oldest and most functional Local Football Association League in West Africa as it was introduced before 1937.
