Doris Nwadiolu Memorial Cup: ‘When Your Team Plays Good, You Don’t Bother About Match Officials’, Ali Bisson Shuts Down Bias Officiating Argument

Coach Ali Bisson, head coach of Soccer Stars Football Club has moved to shut down coaches, fans following arguments over bias officiating in the Doris Nwadiolu Memorial Cup tournament stating that when a team plays good, they need not bother about match officials.

He made this known while reflecting on the importance of the competition which is a viable platform to develop grassroots players who are talented alongside the organization in general, Sports247.ng reports.

“This is a game of football and anything can happen, sometimes you expect the unexpected, for the officiating, the officials are doing very well,” he clarified.

“We are coaches, we don’t have the right to caution the officials while in the field of play. We should allow them take their decisions and all you have to do as a coach is to talk to your players, let them know what they are doing,” Ali cautioned.

“Sometimes we advice our players to play without referees, just to go into the pitch and avoid the officials, go and play football and get results.”

“We coaches need to understand that it’s not all the time that you have to attack officials on the field of play.”

“To me, I don’t see anything wrong in what the officials are doing in this tournament, they are trying and giving thier best,” he concluded.
