Tottenham Hotspur’s Nigerian-born striker, Dominic Solanke is attracting intense transfer interest from English Premier League rivals, Newcastle United, with a strong hint that he could be tempted to Tyneside in the summer.

Sports247 gathered that Solanke’s return to top form with Spurs has put him in the spotlight, such that a horde of offers are already tilting in his favour heading into the last nine matches to end the current season.
It could also jolly well be another opportunity for Solanke to lay claim for a return to England’s national team, as the former Chelsea, Liverpool and Bournemouth hitman is knocking on The Three Lions’ door once again.
Before the World Cup, though, Solanke would try more in order to ensure that Tottenham avoid relegation, as a series of poor results have put them just one point above the drop zone, even as the striker continues excelling personally.
Incidentally, Solanke had been out of action with another bout of injury before returning to Tottenham’s starting line-up the previous week and he hit target in their clash with Crystal Palace last Thursday, only to see his side lose 3-1.
Should Spurs eventually go down to the English Championship at the end of this season, Solanke surely will not take the drop with them, as he already has offers on the table, among which the link with Newcastle now appears to be the strongest.
A report by UK’s Daily Mail added, “Newcastle chiefs see Solanke as an answer to their centre-forward issues after a difficult first season in England for Nick Woltemade.
“Solanke, 28, played for Toon manager Eddie Howe at Bournemouth and their relationship is rock solid, but much will depend on where Tottenham finish at the end of the season.
“Newcastle intend to test both the club’s and player’s resolve with a summer offer. Due to injury, Solanke has made just 14 appearances this season but still managed five goals, all since January.”
