Dominic Solanke Admits Uncertainty About His Date Of Return From Injury

Tottenham Hotspur’s Nigerian-born striker, Dominic Solanke has admitted he is uncertain about the date when he will return to action after a bout with injury, Sports247 reports.

The former Chelsea, Liverpool and Bournemouth hitman has already been ruled out of Sunday’s London derby versus Arsenal, but he has now raised alarm that he could be out for much longer.

This comes amidst reports indicating the likelihood of a return in January for Solanke, who has featured in only three substitute appearances this season and he has been out since August.

After copping the initial setback during pre-season, Solanke suffered a recurrence of an ankle injury, which was originally described as ‘nothing big’ by Spurs’ new coach, Thomas Frank.

The tale then took a very scary turn in September, as Solanke underwent surgery and he has been sidelined since.

Solanke told The Athletic: “It’s been very difficult. At first, I didn’t think I would be out for too long but we didn’t really understand the extent of the injury.

“I was trying to get back as quickly as I could but it didn’t happen, so I had to have surgery. (Regarding my date of return), I’m not putting a timeline on it.”
