The serene ambience inside and around Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode is bound to come alive next month, when it hosts a much-expected developmental programme tagged Gateway 2026 Football Showcase organized by Springsoca United Academy.
Sports247 gathered that the forthcoming programme is a five-day football project designed to spotlight emerging talents and link young players with life-changing opportunities in the game from June 15th to 19th.

A media statement by the organisers indicated that the programme will deliver a powerful blend of elite coaching, competitive football, scouting opportunities, media exposure and career development for players within 16 to 18 years of age.
The statement added, “Gateway 2026 Football Showcase has been carefully structured as a platform where talent meets opportunity, also giving ambitious young footballers the chance to develop, compete, network and gain visibility.
“The event will feature top-level coaching sessions designed to sharpen the technical, tactical and mental development of players under a professional football environment. Participants will also compete in high-intensity friendly matches.
“(It will offer) scouts and football observers the perfect setting to assess raw talent and potential. It will also provide talent identification opportunities, direct access to football decision-makers and evaluators searching for the next generation of stars.”
Sports247 gathered further that every participant will benefit from a professional player video documentary about themselves, thereby helping athletes build a stronger football profile for future opportunities both locally and internationally.
