Dennerby Expects Better Blending For Super Falcons

Super Falcons technical adviser, Thomas Dennerby has declared that he intends to build the squad into a tight blend in the coming week, as he enters the crucial stage of their preparations for next month’s Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana.

Dennerby confessed in an interview with sports247.ng that he is not happy that the team had not been able to train as one since they last match against Gambia.

However, with the expected arrival of more players this weekend at the camp in Epe, Lagos State and chances of some of the foreign-based invitees also arriving, the Swedish tactician is now staying upbeat for better b lending before they travel out to Ghana.

While hinting that some of the home-based players will be dropped this weekend, Dennerby says he is happy that they still have some time to train together and gel better as a team before their first match of AWCON 2018 against South Africa on November 18 in Cape Coast, Ghana.

Dennerby added: “I am not happy that we were not able to train together since the qualifiers against Gambia, but that is now changing, as our camping is getting better.

“We intend to reduice the number in camp to make way for others that are expected to start arriving from abroad this weekend, and I am sure the team will get better before we eventually fly to Ghana.”
