Delta Queens FC Covid -19 Test, Delayed As General Hospital Asaba Confirms Breakdown Of Machine …Fix New Date For Wednesday January 13th

The effort by the Management of Delta Queens Fc to get the compulsory Covid-19 test done for its members as stipulated by the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) and another relevant Football stakeholder, suffered a major set back Tuesday Morning.

According to the team’s Secretary, Ihedioha Martha, the development followed a late notice from the General Hospital Asaba, that due to a breakdown of their test Machine, the scheduled exercise can no longer hold today (Tuesday, January 12).

The team’s Secretary Ihedioha Martha who decried the development is however optimistic the test will be carried out as soon as possible so as to meet up with demand from the NWFL for teams to submit their Covid -19 test of Players and officials on or before Friday, January 15, 2021, or face an indefinite suspension from the NWFL.

She informed that the General Hospital, Asaba has informed that the machines have been put in order and the test will now be done on Wednesday, January 13.

It would be recalled that in view of the conduct of the covid -19 test to be carried out by various clubs yet to do so, the NWFL week five encounters were postponed from January Wednesday 13th to Jan. Wednesday 20th and Delta Queens will on that day host league leaders Bayelsa Queens Fc, at the Agbor Township Stadium, Agbor.
