According to a media release by Jude Agbeyeke, versatile player, Ufuoma Ajamikoko who was making his debut in the NPFL opened scoring in the thirty second minute to put the visitors ahead.

The Delta Ambassadors who arrived Maiduguri on Friday aboard an Air Max plane held their nerves as they thwarted every attacking forays of their hosts. The game which was played behind closed doors saw the Delta Ambassadors dominated their hosts for most part of the game.

El-Kanemi kept chasing an equaliser but the resolute defence line of the Delta Force led by Pascal Eze and Fabian Nworie who was also making his debut kept the hosts at bay. The woes of El-Kanemi Warriors was however compounded in the ninth minute of added time with Egbo Othuke who driving in a shot to give the Coach Mangut Mbwas Ayuba tutored side an unassailable lead.

The late goal left the El-Kanemi team distraught as their once impregnable cocoon was shattered by the NPFL new comers. The win lifted Delta Force to fifth on the NPFL group B table with 27 points and are behind the third and fourth placed El-Kanemi Warriors and Kano Pillars by three points.
