David Haye tells Anthony Joshua to emulate Tyson Fury’s spectacular knockout of Deontay Wilder when he faces Kubrat Pulev this summer

David Haye has told Anthony Joshua to ditch his newfound caution because he will be expected to emulate Tyson Fury’s spectacular knockout of Deontay Wilder when he faces Kubrat Pulev this summer.

Provided the show does not succumb to coronavirus, Joshua will defend his WBO, WBA and IBF titles against Pulev on June 20.

Victory would keep him on course for an undisputed fight with WBC champion Fury, who produced one of the best British performances of recent decades to dethrone Wilder last month.

The fight against Pulev will be AJ’s first in the UK for nearly two years – and his first since regaining the titles against Andy Ruiz Jnr in December.

After being stunningly stopped in their first fight, Joshua was more defensive and calculated in the Saudi Arabia rematch, boxing his way to a wide points victory.

‘The world wants to see the world heavyweight champion do what Fury did. If Fury can do that to Wilder, Joshua should do something similar to Pulev.’

‘He can outbox (Pulev) if he wants to, but I don’t think the world wants that,’ Haye, a former two-weight king said.
