The Super Eagles, runners-up at the last edition, have enjoyed an impressive campaign so far and are aiming to reach a second consecutive AFCON final as they look to end a 12-year wait for continental glory.

Eric Chelle’s men cruised through the group stage with maximum points before producing one of their best performances of the tournament in a commanding 2-0 quarter-final victory over Algeria, courtesy of goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams.

However, Nigeria will be without influential midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who is suspended after accumulating yellow cards, bad news for the Nigeriam side.

The tournament hosts and one of the pre-competition favourites, are also chasing history as they seek their first AFCON title in 50 years.

The Atlas Lions booked their semi-final place with a composed win over Cameroon, with goals from Brahim Diaz and Ismael Saibari.

The fixture marks the first AFCON meeting between Nigeria and Morocco in 22 years, their last encounter coming at the 2004 tournament when Morocco claimed a narrow 1-0 group-stage victory.
