Dannaz Queens FC of Lagos, Ajoke Akinbo has declared that she and her colleagues are determined to ‘go all out’ in order to win this season’s contest in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL), Sports247 reports.
Akinbo stated this after netting a very late goal that helped her side beat Osun Queens in their first match of the NWFL’s new season, which the excited lass declared as the start of bettter things for them in the league.

The amiable attacker also confessed that she did not plan to score, but just took a shot and was happy seeing it hit the net for the game’s only goal – as well as her first ever for the club.
She retorted gleefully, “I did not even expect it. I just thought I should try something. Just to kick the ball forward and put pressure on them because we wanted to score.
“We were fighting to get a goal, and I just played the ball when it was passed to me, but I didn’t know it would go in.”
She then spoke about her personal targets and aims of the team this season; with a view that winning on the opening day of the season will spur them to achieve better results in the coming weeks.
“I’m just happy because this is my first goal of the season and the only one I’ve scored since I’ve been playing for this team. This is our third season, and now I’ve scored. I am so happy.
“That’s why I believe we are going all out, and we are not going to give up. We have enough fighting spirit, and that’s why we did not give up even in the dying minute.
“We believed we would still score, and we eventually did. This is just the beginning. We will go all out to win each match. We will fight till the end,” Akinbo emphasised.
