Daniel Eshiemokhai Returns to Qəbələ as Young Nigerian Midfielder Continues Development in Azerbaijan

Young Nigerian midfielder Daniel Eshiemokhai has returned to Azerbaijani side Qəbələ İdman Klubu, marking another important step in his development abroad.

Eshiemokhai, who is associated with SKD Football Academy in Oyo State, previously spent six months with Qəbələ as part of a development programme designed to expose young players to the club’s football structure and competitive environment.

His performances during that initial spell reportedly impressed the Azerbaijani club, paving the way for his return as he looks to continue his development in Azerbaijan.

The return represents an encouraging opportunity for the Nigerian youngster to gain further experience in European football and continue adapting to the demands of the game outside Nigeria.

Qəbələ, commonly known as Qabala, is based in the Azerbaijani city of Gabala and competes in the country’s domestic football system. The club has also developed a reputation for giving opportunities to emerging players.

For Eshiemokhai, the next phase of his journey will be focused on continued improvement, gaining valuable competitive experience and establishing himself within the Qəbələ setup.

His return also highlights the growing opportunities available to young Nigerian players through structured academy programmes and international development partnerships.

At just the early stage of his career, Eshiemokhai will now hope to build on his first six months in Azerbaijan and make an even stronger impression during this new chapter with Qəbələ.
