West Bromwich Albion have officially announced that 18-year-old forward Daniel Chimeziri has signed his first professional contract with the club.
Chimeziri, who joined West Brom’s academy in 2023 after a spell with QPR, impressed during the 2024/25 season, recording seven goals and eight assists across both the U18 and U21 teams. Despite suffering an injury that sidelined him until April, he returned strongly and contributed in both league and cup fixtures.
The new deal will keep him at The Hawthorns until summer 2026, with an option for the club to extend it by an additional year.
Academy Manager Richard Stevens praised the player’s development, stating that Chimeziri has proven he can lead the line and compete physically at a high level.
Chimeziri will now join the U21 development squad for pre-season preparations in France, as West Brom continue to invest in their youth talent pipeline.
