Cycling President Woos NGOs For Partnerships

Nigeria Cycling Federation (NCF) president, Engineer Giandomewico Massari is seeking support from an unusual source, as he says the body is open to partnerships with non-governmental organisations.

Massari stated in an interview with sports247.ng that the federation’s doors are open for NGO’s to step in and work with the body, towards further developing the sport.

Massari added that all hands must be on deck towards resuscitating Nigerian cycling, as he says the days of road competitions and circuit races need to be revived in the country.

He declared: “We have laid down rules that govern the federation and the sport, but that does not stop us from reaching out to all available means and sources of support.

“We are now thinking of bringing in NGOs to support cycling. Any NGO coming in to support the federation will abide by our rules to avoid any form of anarchy within the system.”
