Cycling Lagos Championship Launches Online Registration for Greener Ride Edition

The organizers of the highly anticipated second edition of the Cycling Lagos Championship unveiled an online registration portal yesterday, marking the official commencement of participant registration for the environmentally conscious “Greener Ride” edition of the event. Set to take place on October 28, the championship is expected to attract thousands of cyclists and garner millions of followers both online and offline.

Chairman of Cycling Lagos 2023, Goddie Ofose, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch of the registration portal in Lagos. He emphasized that the event, themed ‘Greener Ride,’ aims to promote sustainable practices and eco-friendly living. Ofose also revealed that the online portal, accessible at https://www.cyclinglagos.com/register/, will be open for free registration of participants from July 6 to October 14, 2023.

To be eligible for participation, cyclists must possess a bicycle and a helmet. Additionally, the organizers have made arrangements to provide event jerseys for all registered participants. As limited slots are available for the races, Chief Executive Officer of BrandEscort Communications, Bamidele Adeleye, urged interested individuals to complete their registration early to secure their spot.

The Cycling Lagos 2023 event encompasses five distinct categories: professionals, celebrities, children, corporate/veterans, and amateurs. The children’s edition of the championship will be held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on October 21, serving as a prelude to the main event.

In line with its commitment to environmental sustainability, the Greener Ride edition of Cycling Lagos aims to promote a lifestyle that prioritizes eco-consciousness. By encouraging participants to adopt cycling as a means of transportation, the event seeks to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to a cleaner environment.

The culmination of the championship will be marked by a grand Corporate Dinner/Awards ceremony on October 28 at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos. This gathering will provide an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the participants and honor notable contributors to the world of cycling.

With the launch of the online registration portal, the anticipation surrounding the Cycling Lagos Championship continues to build. As cyclists gear up to participate in this exhilarating event, the Greener Ride edition promises to be a remarkable showcase of athleticism, camaraderie, and environmental consciousness.
