Nigeria Cycling Federation (NCF) president, Engineer Giandomewico Massari has rated the country’s female team as the best and number one in Africa.
Massari said in an interview with sports247.ng that no team has beaten Nigeria to winning gold medals in cycling across the continent, and believes the team can even hold their own against the world’s best.
He stressed that Nigeria is the team to fear in African cycling, but promised that, despite their dominance, the nation’s contingent will not rest on their oars but always give their best when called upon to represent the country.
“We are the best in Africa, even in the world, no opponent has beaten us. We will keep doing well, and I can assure you that we will not give room for complacency going forward,” he said.
