Creative Championship League: We Lost Focus And Discipline In The Game- Olumide Olufemi Laments After 3-3 Draw With Imperial Fc…Says He Is Delighted To Win The MVP In The Match

Iganmu FC player, Olumide Olufemi has lamented his team’s lack of focus and discipline in their 3-3 draw in their match week 6 fixture of the ongoing Creative Championship League.

The Creative Championship League which restarted today (Saturday), after the festive season break produced some fascinating football actions and dramas as Iganmu FC and Imperial FC played out an intriguing 3-3 draw at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos State.

Jeremiah gave imperial FC an early lead in the encounter, as early as the 12 seconds, but Iganmu FC equalized in the 10th minute through a goal from Fedelix. In the 30th minute, Jeremiah once again gave Imperial Fc the lead, 2-1 which played out that way, as the first half came to an end.

In the second half, Iganmu Fc scored two goals from the penalty spot through Kola and Abel in the 52nd minute and 61st respectively to give Igamu Fc the lead for the first time in the game (3-2). When it seems as though Iganmu Fc will walk away with all three points, Ezeno struck from the penalty spot to make it 3-3 in the 90th minute of the game to share the spoils for both sides.

In a chat with Sports247 after the game, MVP of the match, Olumide Olufemi of Iganmu FC blamed his team’s lack of focus and discipline in the game, stating that it cost them the maximum points in the encounter. He also expressed his delight in winning the Most Valuable Player of the much.

“We lost focus and discipline today, which cost us the game. We conceded just 12 seconds in the game because we were not balanced and relaxed, but later on, we grew into the game, which gave us confidence as the game went on. We lost the 3 points in the 90th minute of the game, due to lack of focus and discipline, but I think we will work on it, and correct our mistakes in the next game”.

“I am so impressed and happy to win the MVP. Before the game started, I already promised myself that I wanted to play very well and impress my team, which I did. I am very happy for the award and I give glory to God,” he acknowledged.

Following the 3-3 draw today, Igamnu Fc now have 6 points on the table, while Imperial Fc now have 2 points on the League table but are yet to win a game in the tournament, so far.
