The event witnessed a distinguished gathering of football club owners, coaches, sponsors, and the media.

The event, organized by the TCC League’s board, provided a platform for reviewing how the league has grown since it first started in 2020.

Furthermore, the gathering served as an opportunity to unveil the new sponsors for the upcoming season to a wider audience, and to share the league’s achievements so far.

Olajide Akinyelu, a co-founder of TCC and the visionary behind Gbagada FC, took the stage for an opening speech. He shared the remarkable journey of TCC, tracing its inception to 2020 and highlighting its evolution over the years.

This growth has brought numerous talents from the TCC tournaments into the limelight, excelling in both national and international clubs.

“The TCC started in the year 2020. It is a league that few privately owned clubs came together to form the initiative and the main reason is the lack of enough competitive matches for the third tier – Nigeria Nationwide League – clubs in Nigeria.

We started with 8 teams, we had 10 teams in the league last season and we have expanded to 12 teams now.”Akinyelu declared.

The current roster of 12 teams in the league includes Beyond Limits, Gbagada, Broad City, Valiant FC, Imperial FC, Dino SC, Atlantic Business, Dannaz, Iganmu FC, Sporting Lagos Academy, Real Sapphire, and Escola United.

Olumide Ajibolade, the club manager, further revealed the league’s ambitious leap to the next level.

Two new clubs, Real Sapphire and Escola United FC, have joined the league, increasing the tournament’s lineup to 12.

The introduction of the Wyscout scouting data analysis platform, an industry-standard, aims to showcase The Creative Championship matches and player profiles to agencies worldwide.

TCC has made history by becoming the first Nigerian league on Wyscout, a testament to their organizational prowess and meticulous detailing, a rarity in the region.

The league seeks to set a gold standard for youth football development and plans to expand into other states showing interest in joining.

While the league is already underway, match highlights will be on Television to reach a broader audience.

Optimus Bank and Value Jet, prominent sponsors, voiced their commitment to a long-lasting partnership with the league, collectively envisioning a bright future for Nigerian football.
