CP Mohammed Bagega Pledges Support To Kwara FA

The Nigeria Police Force, Kwara Command has announced it will continue to support Football development in Kwara in the area of participation and protection of live and properties at the stadium.

Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bagega disclosed this during a brief meeting with the executive members of the Kwara State Football Association on Thursday.

The courtesy visit by the FA was geared towards retrieving the state league trophy won by the Police Force in 2019 and also to seek maximum support in football activities.

CP Badega said football is a strategic engagement that presents police with the opportunity to entertain and build goodwill with the public in a manner that will fill the trust gap, strengthen confidence-building between the citizens and the Police.

He assured of the FA of their readiness to participate in this year’s Edition, noting the force aspirations of retaining the prestigious trophy and reinstated full commitments to assist the FA whenever called upon.

In his own reaction, Malam Idris Musa Abdullahi commended the Nigeria Police Force proactiveness in Football events and noted (FIFA) Federation of International Football Association recognises Police as a crucial element of Football activities.

Malam Musa also singled out praise on the Officer in Charge of Sports, SP Babatunde Oladosu, and his team for their unwavering commitment to Football activities especially in offering professional services while adding that the FA will continue to synergize with the NPF because of its history in sports & football development.

A presentation of the trophy was performed by the Commissioner of Police to the FA before a group photograph was taken to round off the courtesy visit.

Others present at the occasion include Kashim Agaka (Secretary, Kwara FA), Wasiu Lawal (Board member FA), Ashifat Mohammed (Board member FA), Ademola Kiyiesola (YSFON Chairman, Kwara), Ajayi Okasanmi (NPF PRO), Bolaji Lawal (SA MEDIA TO FA CHAIRMAN), Ahmed Abdullah (SA Technical) Abdulmomoh (Photo Journalist) and Inspector Oluwarotimi Femi.
