COVID-19: Another Nigerian Player, Sylvester Igboun Donates Food items to 200 households in Agege

FC Dynamo Moscow player Sylvester Igboun has taken it upon himself to donate food items to the vulnerable in the society amidst the lock down being experienced in Lagos and it’s neighbouring state Ogun because of the wide spread corona virus pandemic.

Former Dream Team goal tender, Dosu Joseph made this known in his instagram page as he shares pictures of the players effort.

The donation which took place in the household of the vulnerables in Agege Lagos was received with open arms as things are quite difficult for some citizens since the lock down began.

Sports247 gathered that this act of kindness got to not less than two hundred households. Sylvester Igboun has made the list of footballer plying their trades abroad who come home and make philanthropic efforts to members of the society.

Sylvester Igboun is a Nigerian professional football player, who currently plays as a striker or an attacking midfielder for the Russian Premier League club FC Dynamo Moscow on loan from FC Ufa .

Igboun is known for his blistering speed. His surname is Igbonu but was misspelled when registering a passport. His shirt lists his nickname “Sly” on the back instead of his last name.

On 13 July 2015, Igbonu signed for Russian Premier League side FC Ufa . On 2 September 2019, he joined FC Dynamo Moscow on loan for the 2019–20 season.

He was voted player of the month for September 2019 by Dynamo fans. He made his international debut in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification game against Tanzania on 5 September 2015, replacing Moses Simon as a substitute in the 69th minute. As a very fast and energetic player, his impart was felt on the field of play.
