COUNTDOWN TO UK TRIP FOR SUPER CUP: Buruj CEO Says, ‘We Want To Expand Frontiers To Aid Our Players’ Evolution’

Teams from more than twenty countries from across the world will gather in Manchester, United Kingdom, for this year’s edition of the English Super Cup as well as the Welsh Super Cup in Cardiff and Buruj Sports Academy is one of the few teams from the continent of Africa who will feature.

Having featured and starred in previous tournaments organised by Team Tours Direct based in Swansea, Wales, the Ikorodu based academy is poised to use the upcoming outing to make more international connections to expand the scope of operation and build more relationships.

According to the CEO of the academy, Salaudeen Waheed, he and his management team will continue to establish technical relationships and partnerships that can help the players to further their football development in different parts of the world.

“This is what we know how to do best and what is giving us the edge is our international competition. Any player who registers to train with us is a candidate for international exposure.”

“Any time we travel to international competitions like this one we are going for, it creates a unique opportunity for more contacts and technical partnership with our friends abroad. This year’s UK trip will not be different so that we can continue to broaden our horizon,” he said.

The English International Super Cup and Welsh International Cup will hold between July 25 and August 4 this year.
