CORRUPTION SAGA: EDEMA FULUDU SUSPENDED

The Acting Chairman of the Delta Sate Football Association, DFA, Mr. Edema Fuludu has been handed an indefinite suspension from the association with immediate effect by members of the board.

 

 

In a statement signed by the Secretary of the association, Mr Azuka Ogosi the members at the end of an emergency meeting decided to suspend the former Acting Chairman of the DFA, for gross financial misconduct.

The statement averred that Mr. Fuludu who until his suspension was the Acting Chairman of the Association had moved the association’s accounts at Zenith and Ecobank to Sterling Bank without the notice and consent of members.

It said that on the board’s investigation it was discovered that Mr. Fuludu had been making withdrawals from the same account with an ATM card in the past two years since he started acting as Chairman following the absence of Austin Okocha, who had abandoned the FA after his election.

The members who expressed shock over the withdrawals also said they were unaware of the transactions as well as his refusal to oblige the member’s information on how and what he spent the monies on.

The meeting which was attended by five out of the seven board members and Presided b y the head of Media of the Association Mrs. Ejiro Babafemi also had in attendance former Super Eagles striker Victor Ikpeba, Lucky Sunday Ikeki, Kenneth Nwaomucha and the secretary of the Association, Azuka Ogosi.
