Erhabor was trusted with a starting role and justified the decision with a calm, assured performance between the posts.

The young goalkeeper produced several crucial saves, showing composure and sharp reflexes to keep Nigeria competitive for long spells.

Her display further underlined Nigeria’s strength in goal, offering reliable support to Africa’s leading goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, as the technical crew deepens competition in key positions.

Christopher was introduced in the second half, replacing Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, and quickly settled into the tempo of international football.

The midfielder brought energy, movement, and quality on the ball, contributing positively as the team sought balance and control.

Her performance reflected the coaching staff’s deliberate effort to blend experienced campaigners with emerging talents, ensuring continuity while refreshing the squad ahead of major tournaments.

The match, played at the Stade Militaire de Yaoundé, ended in a narrow 1–0 defeat for Nigeria after a late Cameroonian strike, a result that did little to overshadow the positives taken from the outing.

Despite the loss, the debuts of Erhabor and Christopher highlighted the Super Falcons’ growing depth and the expanding pool of players capable of competing at the highest level.

Nigeria will face Cameroon again in a return friendly as preparations intensify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
