Sugar FC of Ilepa talisman, Prince Dare Abiodun, has fired a warning shot to rivals after his team first victory at the 8th Edition of Ibro Peckham Football Competition 2025/2026 where he was a champion in the maiden edition as a goalkeeper with Ilepa United.
After an horrible error from the goalkeeper to slip away the lead to the visitors early in the game, a comeback relief earned the Sugar boys a 2-1 victory over BOCCA FC with both goals coming from Fowotade Abdullah and Abosede Amos. The Coach declared that his team is primed to step up from the opening match defeat and progress through the group phase to the Round of 16.

Dare Abiodun, a key member of the 2018/2019 Champion appreciate the organiser and extends his feelings towards the 2-1 victory against Bocca FC during post match interview with Sports247 reporter.
“This is our own champions league and I am glad to be among the success story, back in 2018/2019 with Ilepa United as a goalkeeper and now as a Coach. Sugar boys will step up their game and progress through”
“It’s a challenge for every team. I don’t think any side is an underdog now. Everyone has pushed themselves, and we’re not playing under pressure. We will prepare ahead of our next game”. He added.
He credited the organisers and the local organising committee to have sustained the process despite several challenges.
Sugar FC will be hoping for a victory over Ultimate Bombers FC in their last group games next week to secure a qualification to the Round of 16.
