Club Owners mourn sudden death of Nasarawa United player Chineme Martins

The Football club Owners Association of Nigeria (club Owners) have expressed shock over the untimely death of Nasarawa United FC defender Chineme Martins.

The young star player slumped during the NPFL match day 23 encounter between Nasarawa United FC vs Katsina United FC last Sunday at the Lafia city stadium and was later confirmed dead at the Dalhatu specialist hospital in Lafia.

Club Owners described the untimely death of the promising young star during a league match as unfortunate just as it joins in the call for an autopsy to ascertain the actual cause of his death .

The Association in a statement jointly signed by the Coordinator of the Association Mr Jude Anyadufu and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka condole with his immediate family and friends, the Management, supporters ,Players and officials of Nasarawa United FC as well as the entire Football family.

Club Owners prayed for the repose of the soul of Chineme Martins and for God to give the family the fortitude to bear his painful loss.
