The turning point came in the 72nd minute when Samuel Chukwueze, introduced from the bench, struck the equaliser.
The Nigerian winger reacted sharply inside the box to convert a delivery from Joachim Andersen, drawing the home side level and igniting the Craven Cottage crowd.
Just two minutes later, Brighton thought they had restored their lead when Danny Welbeck found the net, but celebrations were cut short as VAR ruled the goal out, much to the frustration of the visitors.
Fulham pressed on in search of a winner and were rewarded deep into stoppage time.
In the 90+2 minute, Harry Wilson delivered the decisive moment, scoring the winning goal to complete a remarkable comeback and secure all three points for the hosts.
Chukwueze’s impact was decisive, underlining his growing influence at Fulham with another crucial contribution.
