The lid has been thrown off reasons why Samuel Chukwueze could be on his way out of Fulham and back to AC Milan this summer, as the Italian Serie A club’s new coach, Ruben Amorim says the Super Eagles’ winger has ‘truly great qualities’ that qualify him to be in The Rosonneris’ team.

Sports247 reports that, in contrast with intiial speculation that Chukwueze would turn his loan spell at Fulham into a full contract this summer, ahead of the English Premier League’s new season, the Diamond Football Academy of Umuahia product is heading back to Milan instead.
This follows a confession by Amorim that he actually admires the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalist, who previously played for Villarreal of Spain and almost had a deal at Arsenal of England, following his exploits alongside Victor Osimhen at the Cadet Mundial in Chile.
Chukwueze is now bound to leave Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey behind at Craven Cottage, after registering three goals and four assists in 26 matches across all competitions for Fulham, as Amorim has confirmed that the left-footed winger will remain at Milan for the 2026/27 season.
The development, though, erupted after The Cottagers decided against making the 27-year-old Chukwueze’s loan deal permanent, due to an insistence by Milan on a €24m price for the winger, who had also earlier been linked with a move to Turkey.
Amorim has now affirmed that the star remains in his plans for the upcoming campaign and declared emphatically, “Chukwu is staying with us. We need players who can play one-on-one, literally. I think Chukwueze has truly great qualities to be in our team, and he gives us options to play in other systems.”
