Chukwuebuka Sets New Season’s Best In National Athletes Trails

The cream of athletics in Nigeria have gathered in Benin, Edo State capital to do battle in the National Athletes Trails just two weeks after the African Athletics Championship in Mauritius and Chukwuebuka Enekwechi is one man to watch out for.

Barely two weeks he erased his previous African Athletics Championship record he set, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has thrown a season best in the men’s Shot Put event in the on-going National Championship taking place in Edo State, Nigeria.

The American based athletes threw a season’s best of 21.25m to win the men’s Shut Put event and erasing his 20.21m he made at the just concluded African Athletics Championship in Mauritius earlier this month.

The national championship will serve as trials for the next month’s World Championship and the Common Wealth Games in August.

As Nigeria experience a non-stop Athletes activities for the next two days, expectations are high to see more records broken and new once set before the end of the trials and prior to the bigger events.
