Christian Chukwu named “Life Ambassador’’ by NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick confirmed the appointment of Christian Chukwu as NFF Life Ambassador on Wednesday.

 

According to reports, the appointment was announced when Pinnick visited the 1980 Nations Cup winner in his Enugu State residence, and the NFF boss confirmed that Chukwu will be paid a monthly stipend as Life Ambassador of the federation.

The former Enugu Rangers coach has also secured automatic employment with the Enugu state government.

The 68-year-old captained Nigeria to their first Africa Cup of Nations title in 1980 and was national team coach between 2002 and 2005.

Chukwu, fondly known as ‘the Chairman’ also managed Safa FC of Lebanon in 1997 and the Kenyan national team in 1998.
