It was a case of different strokes for two Nigerian female players based at rival universities in Mississippi, USA, as Christeen Iwuala lost with her team, while Favour Nwaedozi won with hers, Sports247 reports.

Both students put up top personal performances, but Iwuala was on the losing side with University of Mississippi (aka Ole Miss), while Nwaedozi got a victorious outing with Mississippi State University.

Trinity Turner added 13 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, as Georgia University earned their first Quad 1 win of the season and The Lady Bulldogs snapped an 11-game home skid against a team logged in the NCAA’s Top 25.

On the other hand, Nwaedozi led Starkville-based Mississippi State to a 52-35 rebounding surge with 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting, while Kharyssa Richardson recorded a career-high 23 points.

Nwaedozi also had 21 rebounds and Richardson gained seven rebounds, with Traynna Crisp adding 16 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range, as Mississippi State defeated Kentucky Wildcats 71-59.

With Nwaedozi in super form, The Bulldogs outscored The Wildcats 18-11 in the third quarter and pulled away to end their four-game losing streak in NCAA’s women’s basketball league.
