Accolades are still flowing aplenty in the direction of Nigerian-born youngster, Chizaram Ezenwata (Chizzy) in the wake of his first professional contract at Chelsea of England, Sports247 gathered.
No long after information emerged from Stamford Bridge that the England youth international had finally stepped up into the paid ranks, gleefully reactions followed.
The Blues’ youth sector started the flow by extending a congratulatory message to the youngster, following which social media went into frenzy celebrating what was referred to as a much-expected breakthrough.
A report by Tribal Football pointed out, “The former Charlton Athletic prospect inked terms after rapid progress over the past 12 months.
“Ezenwata, 17, is now a regular with Chelsea’s U18s and has also made his U21 debut this season. The striker has also played for England at U18 level.
“(Apart from playing) this year in the U17 World Cup, along with his U21 debut, Ezenwata also tasted UEFA Youth League action against Atalanta.”
