Chido Obi Trains With Manchester United’s Senior Squad

Manchester United’s Nigerian-born youngster, Chido Obi joined the Englush Premier League club’s main team in training over the past week, in preparation for their next game after the international break.

Sports247 gathered that the yiubgster, who was born in Glostrup, Denmark and will clock 18 on November 29th, is now edging closer to a senior team spot with The Red Devils.

So soon after Obi was snubbed by Denmark’s youth national team selectors, which the youngster prefers to play for instead of Nigeria, he appears heading for promotion at Old Trafford, where arrived after startibg iut with United’s EPL rvals, Arsenal.

Information flowing out of Man U’s camp also indicated that the club’s Portuguese gaffer, Ruben Amorim invited Obi to join training with the senior squad, to fill in for some stars who were away on national team duties, ahead of next weekend’s EPL fixture.

A report by Tribal Football, quoting British tabloid, The Sun, disclosed further, “Obi made eight first team appearances last season after joining from Arsenal’s academy.

“The teenage Dane has spent the season so far with the U21s, but was back with the first team squad this week. The centre-forward’s promotion comes after Benjamin Sesko’s knee strain suffered.”
