Trabzonspor of Turkey defender, Chibuike Nwaiwu could be heading towards joining his Super Eagles’ colleagues, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at Fulham of England, despite continued reluctance from his current club, Sports247 reports.

While Samuel Chukwueze has received the nod from former Manchester United gaffer, Ruben Amorim to return to AC Milan and join him at the Serie A club from where he was loaned to Fulham last season, Nwaiwu wants a move to The Cottagers and keep the number of their Nigerian players there at three.
This is sequel to information out of Craven Cottage that Fulham have reached an agreement on personal terms with Nwaiwu, as the London-based English Premier League club continue their push to sign the breakthrough centre-back from Trabzonspor, who have already rejected two offers for his transfer.
“Nwaiwu has agreed a four-year contract with Alvaro Arbeloa’s side, leaving the clubs to negotiate a transfer fee. The Premier League club have identified the 22-year-old as a key defensive target this summer and remain determined to complete a deal despite the Turkish team rejecting two previous offers.
“Trabzonspor are demanding at least €30m for the Nigerian international, who joined the Turkish club from Wolfsberger AC of Austria in January. Nwaiwu impressed during his first months in Turkey, making 21 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist,” a report by Foot Mercato disclosed.
