Brighton, UK, June 2025 – Chiamaka Nnadozie, newly signed goalkeeper for Brighton & Hove Albion Women, says the chance to test herself in the Women’s Super League (WSL) motivated her move from Paris FC.
The 24‑year‑old Super Falcons star, officially joining on July 1, shared that “the challenge of playing in a different league and competing with other top teams was what informed my decision to sign for the club.”

Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic expressed enthusiasm about her arrival, praising Nnadozie as “a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line” .
Nnadozie brings stellar credentials: 118 appearances for Paris FC, 16 Champions League matches, and standout performances including saving two penalties in the 2025 Coupe de France final, where her heroics led Paris FC to the trophy .
Her haul of individual awards is equally impressive—she became the first African female goalkeeper to win both the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season and the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper of the Season for 2023‑24 .
At international level, Nnadozie has earned 55 caps since her senior debut in April 2018, excelling at both U17 and U20 levels before stepping up to the Super Falcons with regularity .
During her unveiling on June 27, Nnadozie said, “I already look forward to the new season in an entirely different environment from the one I am used to…it feels so great; I am really excited to be joining this great club” .
With Brighton finishing mid‑table (5th) in the WSL last season, the team is aiming to bolster its defensive record—and Nnadozie’s commanding presence and experience promise to play a pivotal role in that ambition.
